Round 5 is going good

They decided to give me steroids with every infusion going forward to reduce the side effects. It’s helped tremendously! Today was my 2nd of 3 infusions this week and overall doing well. They give me a growth stimulator on Monday after chemo to help my blood count go up and that causes a little discomfort but helps my numbers not drop. I have not needed any pain meds during or after treatment this week so that’s a win!
My gut is hurting! All these meds are messing with my digestive system. Probiotics, good cultures/bacteria, and clean eating is my focus.
Harper has been with us this week so I‘ve been going to infusions alone. It’s worked out well since my side effects are better managed. Harper on the other hand got a flu bug and has spent the last 2 nights throwing up. Chris and I are cleaning constantly to reduce germs.
After round 6, we will work with the doctor in the next plan of attack. I will probably continue in the trial drug with maintenance once every 3 weeks. My case will also be presented to the tumor board to inquire about surgery but doesn’t sound likely due to the number of tumors I have. Possibly another type of chemo or another clinical trial down the road. We also have an appointment with MD Anderson in Texas at the end of January for a 2nd opinion. The future is unknown!
We head home on Monday the 8th after my doc appointments plan to be home for 2.5 weeks! I have to fly out for one night on the 14th but I’ll take it. My treatment is being pushed back a week due to thanksgiving. Our son is coming to visit and I’m trying to convince the hubby to get our Xmas tree before thanksgiving this year. it’s going to be a great month!
Wishing all our family and friends a wonderful November and Happy thanksgiving! I hope you spend it with the ones you love most! Xoxo
Picture is of my mama and Harper from an early Halloween. Why? Because I miss that beautiful face so much while going through this.

Oh that picture!❤️ 🥲 What an update! I feel like crying and smiling at the same time friend. Love you and hope you have the best Thanksgiving. Chris—get the tree up!😄 🎄
