Chilling in our trailer in the rainy NW this week. Monday was chemo and trial drug day. Trial drug gave me some intense low back pain so had to pause for 20 min but otherwise went ok. 2 more rounds of clinical trial wed and fri this week. We plan to head home next Monday after doc appointments and labs.
Wed infusion was hard again. I got chills and shakes so they had to pause treatment and ultimately go half speed the rest of the day. Made for a very long day at the center. Not sure why my body is responding poorly now when the week prior was so good. Rest day today and hope for the best on Friday.
These açaí bowls have become my go to post treatment 😋

Sending more prayers. When my mom had chemo, she ate fudge sickles to soothe her throat. The acai looks delicious. Your body is reacting to the chemicals, so take it easy, breathe deep, and enjoy the sunrise. Sending you blessings for complete recovery and healing!
Delicious….good choice! 🥰 Wishing you the best with the next two rounds this week! I was thinking of you and praying for you Monday night as I was watching our amazing Aurora display!
P.S. I started plowing “our homestead” for the winter too! 😉 Love you! ❤️
That looks delicious! Glad to hear you are heading home soon for a much needed break! Miss you all!
Yum! Have you ever tried Nekter juice bar? It‘s my go-to place for açaí bowls and smoothies when I am in Eugene. Glad you get a break from treatment here soon and get to head home.❤️ Love you!
That acai dish looks super healthy. I drink Essiac tea to hopefully prevent cancer recurrence.
